Ballet Memphis dancers selected to perform in Tokyo, Japan

Ballet Memphis is pleased to announce that company members HIDEKO KARASAWA and KENDALL G. BRITT JR. have been selected to perform at the Ballet Asteras 2013 Gala in Tokyo, Japan. Ballet Asteras is a showcase for Japanese professional dancers who dance outside of Japan. Karasawa and Britt are one of eight couples from around the globe selected to perform; Ballet Memphis is the only U.S. company represented.

They will perform the pas de deux from August Bournonville's "Flower Festival in Genzano." Ballet Asteras 2013 will take place on July 21, 2013 at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, home of the New National Theatre Ballet and Japan's foremost performing arts venue.
